What would happen if we actually let Tweens, Jr. High and Middle School students run the church for the day? What would change? What would be better? What would be worse? Here is a video for you or for your leadership to watch, as advertising company "Grip Limited" for their 10 year anniversary let a group of 10 year olds take over 3 major ad campaigns for the day!
We say all this crazy stuff like "the youth are the church of today...", but do we ever really let them be? Seriously, I don't know about your church, but I would love to see one of my JH/MS boys rock the mic for a Sunday morning sermon. I actually already know the one to do it and he would be completely willing. Here is even more crazy idea why not allow JH/MS and SH to be a part of some of the boards of the church? Throw a JHer and SHer in on a couple of committees have a "jr. deacon/elder".
What is the worst that could happen??
